Wallball Nationals Entry Open

Online Registration is now open for the biggest weekend tournament of the year, the 2017 Irish Wallball Nationals at Breaffy House Arena, Castlebar.

This event has grown to be a truly brilliant social, family weekend brimming with top class Handballing action. Last year we had 400+ players competing, and this year we are aiming to at minimum match last years record breaking numbers.

Entry Info & Grading:

Please Note:

  • Entries will only be accepted through the online system and can be paid for by credit card, laser, cash or cheque. No entries can be accepted after the closing date.
  • Players can only enter one grade.
  • GAA Handball reserves the right to amend grades or entries if they feel it is necessary.
  • Grades may be amalgamated depending on entries.
  • Players who have previously won B titles at either Irish Wallball Nationals or All-Ireland Wallball Championships are excluded from playing B grades
  • 11&U is a Fun based Doubles event. All other grades are Singles events.
  • Winning a title in the same calendar year does not rule you out of an event in the current year’s Nationals
  • All matches in the Irish Wallball Nationals will be one 15 minute timed games for Juveniles & Adults. Except for Open grades where matches will be one 20 minute timed game.
  • The Big Blue One-Wall will be the official tournament ball.
  • If numbers are low in certain grades, that particular grade will not be run, with that grade being merged with another grade.
  • GAA Handballs decision will be final in such matters.
  • By entering this competition you automatically agree to be available to play on the Friday, Saturday or Sunday of the tournament weekend.
  • Please note you will get a conformation email back from myclubfinances.com to confirm that your entry was successful. If you don’t receive this email conformation then you must complete the registration process again.

GRADING ELIGIBILITY:

  • Mens Open Singles: Players must be eligible to play in Inter County Senior & Open Championship Grade. Players must be 18 years of age or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Ladies Open Singles: Players must be eligible to play in Inter County Senior & Open Championship Grade. Players must be 17 years of age or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Mens 23 & Under Singles: Must be aged 23 or Under on first day of the tournament.
  • Mens 23 & Under B Singles: Must be aged 23 or Under on first day of the tournament. Open to players who have not won an All Ireland Juvenile U14, U16, Minor, Under 21 or provincial title at Minor or Under 21.
  • Mens A Singles: Must be eligible to play Intermediate Grade in Championship.
  • Must not have won a Mens A Singles (or Open) in Irish Nationals or World Championships. Must be 16 years of age or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Mens B Singles: Must be eligible to play Junior Grade. Must not have won a Mens B Singles (or above) or underage grades (17&U, 19&U) in Irish Nationals or B Singles in World C’ships. Must be 16 years of age or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Mens C Singles: Must be eligible to play Junior B Grade. Must not have won a Mens C Singles (or above) or any 15&U, 17&U, 19&U in Irish Nationals or won a C Singles or Doubles in World Championships. Must be 16 years of age or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Mens Challenger Singles: Must not have won a provincial title in any grade/code. Entrants to this grade will be assessed re eligibility. Must be 18 years of age or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Mens 35+ Singles: Must be 35 Years of age or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Masters A Singles: Must be 40 or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Masters B Singles: Must be eligible to play Masters B Grades. Must be 40 or over on the first day of the tournament. Must not have won a Masters B Singles title in Irish Nationals or World Championship.
  • Silver Masters Singles: Must be 45 or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Must be eligible to play Silver Masters Grades.
  • Silver Masters B Singles: Must be 45 or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Must be eligible to play Silver Masters B Grades.
  • Golden Masters Singles: Must be 50 or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Golden Masters B Singles: Must be eligible to play Golden Masters B Grades. Must be 50 or over on the first day of the tournament. Must not have won a Masters B Singles title Irish Nationals or World Championship.
  • Emerald Masters Singles: Must be 55 or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Diamond Masters Singles: Must be 60 or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Ruby Masters Singles: Must be 65 or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • 70+ Singles: Must be 70 or over on the first day of the tournament.
  • Ladies B Singles: Must be eligible to play in Junior B or Junior Championship Grade. Must not have won a Ladies Open, A Singles, B Singles, 19 & Under or 17 & Under in Irish Nationals or World Championships. Must be 17 years of age or on the first day of the tournament.
  • Ladies Challenger Singles: Must not have won a Provincial title in Junior grade or above championship or an All-Ireland title in any grade at Juvenile or Adult level.
  • Must not have competed in Ladies Open or Ladies A Singles previously. Players must be 17 years or over on the first day of the tournament.
