Leinster Schools Blitz Day Roundup

The recent series of Leinster Schools regional One-Wall Blitz Days for 2nd & 3rd Year Boys came to a climax today with Bridgetown College, Wexford, winning out the Leinster Blitz Day today at St Brigid's HC, Dublin.

The series is a build on from GAA Handball's One-Wall for Schools Initiative, offering an outlet for pupils to test themselves against other schools. It has attracted a lot of new kids to the Blitz Days, especially with a new rule enforced whereby any Handball who is a Provincial title holder is ruled ineligible to compete in order to create a more even playing field.

After todays group games and knockout stages, it was left to Bridgetown College (Wexford) to do battle with Scoil Cathriona (Glasnevin, Dublin) in the final, with the Wexford lads winning out 15-11, 15-7 in both doubles games.

A new round of blitz dates will be announced early in the new year for different year groups.
