Kells HC, Meath have captured the GAA Handball All Ireland 60x30 Senior club title for an incredible SIXTH time in as many season when they defeated Hospital, Limerick today Saturday 17th June at Mullingar on a convincing 84-25 score-line.
In the semi-final the Kells club accounted for Williamstown of Galway 84-22 to set up a final with Munster championships Hospital. In the final the Kells club were convincing winners on a 84-25 score-line. Full report to follow.
The Junior title was won by the Broadford club Limerick who received a bye in the semi-final as St. Pat’s Cavan could not field. In the other semi-final Moycullen (Galway) overcame the local Crinkle (Offaly) team in a very tight match that went in favour of the Connacht players 111-104. In the final the Munster championships proved too strong for the Moycullen team and Broadford took the title 91-69.
Finally in the Junior B competition, Waterford side Friary/Abbeyside defeated Kingscourt (Cavan) in the semi-final 108-84. In the final they played Leinster championships Ballymore Eustace after they received a bye from Connacht champions Loughrea (Galway). In the final the Kildare team was conformable winners against the Munster club on a score-line of 105-79.
