It is with deep sadness that Tyrone GAA Handball has learned of the sad passing of our esteemed GAA Handball colleague, John Smith.
John has been a name synonymous with the sport of GAA Handball in Tyrone for many decades and played a major contribution to the administration of the sport since the 1960s. One of the founding members of Omagh Handball Club and indeed of the Loughmacrory GAA Handball Club Committee in 1967, John also played a prominent role on the Tyrone County GAA Handball Committee, in almost all key executive positions, over a period of five decades.
A terrific gael who was deeply immersed in Irish culture, John was a true gentlemen who will be greatly missed by all within the County who knew him.

John's funeral will take place on Tuesday 15th December at 2pm in St. Mary's Church, Killyclogher.
