GAA Coaching Conference 2016

Today saw the official launch of the Liberty insurance GAA Games Development Conference, which will take place on Friday January 22nd and Saturday January 23rd next in Croke Park. The 2016 Conference will focus on issues related to the Adult Player (aged 18 years +).

This year there will be a strong Handball presence with Dr Richard McCann from the Sports Institute of Northern Ireland teaming up with World Handball Champion Paul Brady to deliver a clinic on physical benefits of Handball. Richard McCann is of course himself one of the games best players as well as being a full time Sports Scientist. At today's launch, recent Irish Collegiate One-Wall Champion Ciara Mahon (Trinity College & Kilkenny), was present to represent Handball alongside Uachtaran Willie Roche.

On Friday, January 22nd we will have a special forum on the progression of players from the minor and underage ranks through to the adult game. Saturday, January 23rd will see a spectacular range of speakers presenting both key note and parallel workshops on issues related to the adult player.
