For those familiar with Wallball will know that the season is only just beginning and after Conor McElduff’s dominant performance in Valencia two weeks ago at the European Wallball Tour why not kick start or continue the wallball action by taking part in the Dublin City Wallball Open 2017 which takes place on Saturday 21st October 2017. It is a singles blitz which will be held in Trinity Sports Centre, Trinity College Dublin and is organised by Brian Boru’s Handball Club. The event is open to all adult players and is now open for entries and the application is done online through the tournament website set out below. All entries will receive a free wallball on the day of the event.
The tournament will consist of 4 grades Men's Open Singles, Women's Open Singles, Men's B Singles and Men's C Singles. The format for the event is round robins followed by a knock-out round, so all players are guaranteed at least 3 matches. Each grade is split into 2 Groups of 4 players, and each player will play all players in their group once in a game up to (15 aces). The top 2 players in each Group will qualify into Semi-Final of relevant grade. Entries close Wednesday, 18 October 2017, so apply now as entry places are limited.
