There was a great day’s play in Kingscourt today at the 2nd Level Colleges 40x20 Championships with some really tight games. The Senior Winners were as follows, Roscommon’s Fiona Tully, Convent of Mercy Roscommon captured the Girls Singles title while the Boys Senior Singles title went to Tadhg O’Neill, Patrican Academy Mallow.
At the end of the day Kilkenny finished with three titles while the remainder of titles were spread throughout the country with Clare, Cork, Galway, Kildare, Monaghan, Roscommon and Tyrone all sharing one title a piece.
The 40x20 season has begun in earnest now with the first All Ireland’s decided. Some of these players will meet again through the season for more titanic tussles on the court. We would also like to thank the Kingscourt club, the players, referees, parents/teachers and coaches for making the day such a success.
