Team Ireland Managers Appointed

Kerr and Doyle appointed Team Ireland Managers

Following a meeting of GAA Handball Ard Comhairle on Saturday 25th April, GAA Handball are delighted to announce the appointment of Niall Kerr and Paula Doyle as Official Team Ireland Managers for the 2015 World Handball Championships in Calgary, Canada this August.

Paula Doyle is from the Leixlip Club in Kildare and is a member of the GAA club executive and has been involved with Juveniles in the club for the past four years. She is also a member of the Kildare Handball board and is the current juvenile delegate to the Leinster board. A qualified childcare worker Doyle has also had experience with the Metropolitan Girls League Academy in Soccer in her role as house mother travelling with teams to away games and tournaments. Her role here entailed looking after teams on International trips including ensuring team nutrition & hydration, adhering to timetables, team logistics and also acting as a mentor to the younger players.

Niall Kerr hails from the Breacach Club in Tyrone and has a long standing involvement with Juvenile Handball in Tyrone. He has played an integral role in the development and progress of handball in Tyrone and Ulster. A qualified Tutor and a coach with numerous years experience both in Ireland and abroad Kerr has managed the coaching and development programmes at club, schools and county level in Tyrone while he has managed and coached players for 5 years in the USHA Junior Nationals aswell as at World Championships in 2003. 06, 09 and 2012 with a high level of success.
