The 2015 40x20 World Trials and Junior Nationals have attracted record numbers this year with the added incentive of the World Trials Winners securing a place on the Irish Team to the World Handball Championships in Calgary, Canada in August. Due to the high number of entries a large number of qualifiers will take place next Saturday 4th April at various venues throughout the country. See link below for the full fixtures list.
Full draw lists for the finals weekend, including names for the Girls and Boys 11 & Under competitions will be released early next week.
Points of Note:
- Players in the B13,15 & 17&U who lose their first qualifier match, will play a Plate match on the same day. The winner of which advance to the Plate competition on the Finals weekend.
- Players withdrawing must notify their county secretary and the appropriate venue official in charge.
- Any player who does not notify the opposition and venue official will be liable to disciplinary action.
- Players running late must notify the venue official in charge.
- Failure to do so may affect your participation in future national’s tournaments.

Match Format & Timeouts:
Boys 13 & Under, Girls 13 & Under, Boys 15 & Under, Girls 15 & Under:
- ALL MATCHES comprise 2 x 15 ace games, 1 tie-break of 11 aces.
- 2 time-outs allowed in 15 ace games, 2 time-outs allowed in 11 ace tie-breaks.
Boys 17 & Under, Girls 17 & Under, Boys 19 & Under, Girls 19 & Under:
- ALL MATCHES comprise 2 x 21 ace games, 1 tie-break of 11 aces.
- 3 time-outs allowed in 21 ace games, 2 time-outs allowed in 11 ace tie-breaks.
Plate Games:
- All PLATE matches in ALL GRADES are 2 x 15 ace games, 1 tie-break of 11 aces.
- 2 time-outs allowed in 15 ace games, 2 time-outs allowed in 11 ace tie-breaks.
